There are lots of good free tools out there to help a web developer. With the list below, you do not need to spend a lot of money on Adobe Dreamweaver or PhotoShop to create a nice looking website. Before you buy, visit these sites, and give them a try.
SiteStudio
- SiteStudio is provided for free to anybody hosted by Red Rocker. It allows you to create a great looking site through your web browser.
Paint.NET
- For those that can't afford PhotoShop, the completely free Paint.NET will do 99% of all your random image editing tasks.
FileZilla FTP
- There are lots of free FTP clients to allow you to log in and upload/download your site. FileZilla just happens to be our preferred client. It's easy to set up, and it does everything.
Putty SSH
Clients hosted by Red Rocker may enable SSH by contacting us. PuTTY is a free SSH client to allow you to connect to your site.
Web Developer
- Web Developer is a free add-on to Mozilla Firefox. It provides lots of useful features to help you tweak web page layouts.
NoNags.com
- NoNags.com is a great resource to find completely free software.
